What is an HOA Committee?  HOA committees assist Board members by addressing specific community issues and tasks and serving in an advisory role for the benefit of the community.  As a general rule, they gather information, assess problems and recommend solutions to the Board.  Depending on the community, it may have committees that deal with issues like finance, communications, repair and maintenance, buildings and grounds, landscaping, swimming pools, violations, covenants enforcement, violations, litigation, communications, architectural review, social programming and more.

Here at Bluewater Cove we utilize several committees.

  1. Architectural Committee – the AC reviews all plans for all new construction, fences, out buildings (sheds), docks, boat lifts, home additions, roofing, and exterior painting or residing.  The committee is in charge of making sure that any all plans meet the guidelines of the neighborhood covenants and resolutions.
  2. Landscaping Committee – the landscaping committee researches, recommends and monitors landscaping  improvements, changes and additions. Committee projects might include adding grasses to common areas, replanting plants and redesigning the landscaping of front entrances and other common areas. Committee members also approve a homeowners major landscape overhauls.
  3. Hospitality Committee – Also know as the “party committee” this team of volunteers is here to coordinate community activities.  Bluewater Cove is a diverse neighborhood but we all love to get together and have a great time!
